About Jung
Carl Gustav Jung was a Swiss Psychiatrist who espoused a transpersonal and spiritual psychology.
Integrating Eastern and Western spiritual traditions at the turn of the last century, he anticipated and pioneered the evolution and development of Human consciousness. Jung was a "renaissance man", the depth and breadth of whose seminal work is today becoming more widely appreciated in the Arts and Sciences, and especially their integration into the "healing arts". Even as he, more than most, experienced the Oneness of all creation, he is purported to have said: "Thank God I'm Jung and not a Jungian!"
He was also, true to his thought and life, a staunch individualist at the same time having profound insight into the inter-connectedness of all relationship.
At the dawn of the 21st century we are facing our own individual and collective "judgment day" as humanity has dragged primitive consciousness of fear, greed, corruption, divisiveness and war into yet another millennium. At the same time there has never before been such a shift in human consciousness toward the light of Divine Intelligence, Peace and Love.
The unconscious reveals itself to us through dreams, art, nature and story; through somatic urges, bodily symptoms and events taking place in the world around us. It is revealed in patterns, symbols, archetypes, and mythological forms.
As Jung wrote, “The decisive question for man is: Is he related to something infinite or not? That is the telling question of his life. Only if we know that the thing which truly matters is the infinite can we avoid fixing our interest upon futilities and upon all kinds of goals which are not of real importance. . . . In the final analysis, we count for something only because of the essential we embody, and if we do not embody that, life is wasted” (MDR, 1989, p. 325)
Jung's foresighted guidance and teachings could hardly be more relevant and contemporary, pointing us ever forward in the continued creation AND evolution of human consciousness. They are One and the same!
The main interest of my work is not concerned with the treatment of neuroses but with the approach to the numinous. But the fact is that the approach to the numinous is the real therapy and in as much as you attain to the numinous experiences, you are released from the curse of pathology.
